From a wealthy merchant family in Foshan, he studied under Chan Wah Shun, the last direct student of Leung Jan, heir to the original lineage. His best-known students, including Bruce Lee, contributed to the art's global spread. He is also the direct teacher of Leung Ting, whose lineage descends to our school.
